Lava has launched its new Virat smartphone series in India, introducing two new models — the Lava Virat V1 5G and Lava Virat V1. The new smartphones have been introduced as an online-first lineup in partnership with Flipkart.
The Lava Virat V1 5G is priced at Rs. 11,999, while the standard Lava Virat V1 costs Rs. 8,999. Both phones will be available through Flipkart and the Lava website.
The launch-day prices are applicable only on the first day of sale. From the second day onwards, the Lava Virat V1 5G will be priced at Rs. 12,999, while the Lava Virat V1 will cost Rs. 9,999.
Lava Virat V1 5G Price and Availability
The Lava Virat V1 5G has been launched at a special introductory price of Rs. 11,999. Its regular price from the second day of sale will be Rs. 12,999.
The smartphone will be sold through Flipkart and Lava’s official website.
The Virat V1 5G is available in Arya Blue and Sonar Gold colour options.
Lava Virat V1 5G Specifications and Features
The Lava Virat V1 5G features a 6.75-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display measures 17.13cm diagonally and is designed for everyday viewing, browsing and entertainment.
The smartphone is powered by the UNISOC T8200 processor and comes with 4GB of RAM. Users can also utilise up to 4GB of additional virtual RAM.
For storage, the phone offers 64GB of internal storage, with support for expandable storage of up to 1TB.
6000mAh Battery
One of the key features of the Lava Virat V1 5G is its 6,000mAh battery. The large battery is aimed at providing longer usage for activities such as video streaming, social media, gaming and everyday communication.
The phone also carries an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance.
Cameras
For photography, the Lava Virat V1 5G features a 13-megapixel AI dual rear camera setup. On the front, there is a 5-megapixel selfie camera.
The company is also offering a clean Android software experience, with Lava highlighting that the phone comes without advertisements and unnecessary pre-installed bloatware.
The smartphone runs Android 16 out of the box.
Lava Virat V1
Alongside the 5G model, Lava has also introduced the Virat V1, a more affordable smartphone aimed at buyers looking for a lower-cost option.
The Lava Virat V1 is priced at Rs. 8,999 during the launch-day sale, with its regular price set at Rs. 9,999 from the second day onwards.
Both models are part of Lava’s push to expand its presence in India’s online smartphone market, with Flipkart serving as the primary e-commerce partner.
Lava Virat Series Targets Value-Focused Buyers
According to Lava, the new Virat series has been designed for India’s digital-first smartphone buyers, including students, young professionals, homemakers and customers looking for affordable devices.
The company is also highlighting its Made-in-India development and manufacturing capabilities, along with its after-sales service network.
With the Virat V1 5G, Lava is competing in India’s budget 5G smartphone segment by combining a large battery, 120Hz display, expandable storage and Android 16 at a starting launch price of Rs. 11,999.
